I am Courtney and I have a little blog called 'Tales of Lace & Glitter' I am just beyond thrilled to be taking part in the Vintage Apple's Oh How Pinteresting Wednesday!
I had a small cocktail party about a month ago- Nothing too big or fancy...Just a few friends over to the house. I had been drooling over several recipes on Pinterest so I decided to make all bite size appetizers and got ALL my recipes from Pinterest. The Ladies at the party couldn't believe I'd tried so many new recipes AND that they ALL tasted delicious...Inbetween bites all the guys at the party asked "What's Pinterest?"
Here's what I made-
Mac & Cheese Bites: Hardest part about these was cleaning the mini cupcake pan!
Taco Cups: I'm now a huge fan of using Won Ton Wrappers for appetizers. Makes all the food easy to pick-up and eat.
This took a bit of preparation & timing bc you had to brown your meat before hand. You could probably do it veggie with just beans and save time. They were delicious! Everyone kept eating them
Turkey Corn Dog Bites: Originally recipe called for Beef Hot Dogs but since R doesn't eat mammals (yea, you read that right...) I opted for Turkey. Also, I added a semi-homemade touch and bought Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix.
Oreo & Chocolate Chip Cookies: This is MY picture of the actual cookies I made! I was inspired by a Pin I'd seen on Pinterest but added a semi-homemade touch of using pre-made cookie dough. I should warn you that I could only fit 8 on a cookie sheet because they did spread a lil more then an average cookie when baked. Everyone was nervous to try these because they were afraid they'd like them too much.
Sweet Bacon & Pear Pizza: I had to make this with Turkey Bacon again because R doesn't eat mammals but it still tasted great!
Fresh Mozzeralla & Tomato: I made these but used a Spinach leaf instead of a basil leaf because the thought of eating a WHOLE basil leaf made me gag a little. Also, I used a balsamic glaze instead of straight vinegar so it had a sweet and tangy taste. You can buy Balsamic glaze in any grocery store. Save yourself the time and buy it instead of trying to make it.
Moral of this story is don't be afraid to ACTUALLY try out recipes from Pinterest.
