Barefeet in the Sand

Hey y'all!

I'm Savanah from What Makes Savanah Smile...!

I am honored that Michelle asked me to guest post for her again!

Anyway, if y'all have never been to my blog, I hope y'all will come check it out! I love to write about life, my boyfriend, and my furbabies, plus lots more!

Y'all probably all know by now that Michelle is one of my fellow Htownbloggers and one of my real life friends now :)

So, since Michelle is off GETTING MARRIED and she is the host of the weekly Pinteresting link up, I thought I would share some of my Wedding Inspiration board on Pinterest.

No, I'm not engaged or even really thinking about getting married at the moment, but I know that I want a destination wedding. Pinterest has been the most incredible place to put all my thoughts and wants into one board so when it is time, I have a starting point!

So, here's my inspiration for when the big day comes!

1. I know I want to be married barefoot in the sand next to the ocean - Jamaica, Mexico, Key West... Not sure of a final destination yet!

2. I know I want a flowy dress - no big princess or cinderella dress for me!

And if I had all the money in the world, this would be THE dress (from the movie 'When in Rome')

3. I love the idea of using bright colors like turquoise and pink

4. I love a simple look like this for the groom/groomsmen

5. Even though it's a destination wedding, I still want a reception. There's the traditional part of me that still wants to cut a cake and share a first dance with my groom!

6. I want to do clever Save The Dates and Invites really showcasing our destination wedding.

7. And of course have cute ideas to make our guests feel at home

8. And the must take photos you wouldn't be able to get anywhere else except on the beach...

If you had a destination wedding, I'd love to hear from you!

Actually, I'd love to hear from all of you :)

I'd just like to pick the brains of those of you who had a destination wedding ;)

Thanks Michelle for letting me guest post for you!! :)

Getting married in Puerto Vallarta was one of the best decisions we ever made. It was a weekend long party with friends and family, they all thanked us so much for the minivacation. It's not for everybody and there will always be some downsides, but for us and our family- it was perfect! I'm more than glad to answer any questions & I've put up quite a few pics on my blog that are linked here

Hubby's BF also got married in PV 1 year ago because he loved our wedding so much.

I sort of wish I could have a wedding re-do! My brother-in-law got married on the beach, and it was amazing!
LOVE all of the photos!!!
The rings in the sand was a really great idea!

Every idea was great! The more I think about it. The more I want destination w/the absolute smallest crowd. I've lost all interest in a big normal wedding.

Gorgeous pins! I love the idea of a destination wedding but seeing as I've been married for almost 15 years I think we will have to do a destination vow renewal. ;)
